What We Collect

• Account data: email address, display name, optional profile photo, and sign-in identifiers (email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google). • Profile & pet data you provide: pet names, photos, identifying marks, your city, and optional phone number. • Vaccination records: a photo of your pet's vaccination record, required at registration. These images are visible only to our verification team and are never shown publicly — verified pets display only a "Vaccinated" badge, and only while on an active lost-pet alert. • Content you post: hazard reports, lost/found alerts, pet-friendly places, community and group posts, comments, and direct messages, plus their coarse locations. • Location: your device location, only with your permission, used to center the map, filter nearby alerts, and target proximity notifications. • Push notification data: a device push token with your approximate location, alert radius, and notification preferences, so our servers can deliver nearby alerts. Removed when you sign out and pruned automatically when stale. • Purchase state: whether you have an active Kodaboda+ or Kodaboda Pro subscription or bought a one-time Search Boost (processed entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details).

How We Use It

To operate the App: showing nearby reports, delivering alerts, connecting finders with owners after identifying-mark verification, and moderating the community. We do not sell your personal data, show third-party ads, or use your data for cross-app tracking.

Where It Lives

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage), acting as our processor, in Google Cloud data centers. Media you attach is stored with the associated record. Content you post publicly (community and group posts, hazard reports, lost/found alerts, pet-friendly places) is visible to other signed-in users. Direct messages are visible only to their participants and can be deleted by either one. Private diary posts are visible only to you.

Your Contact Info & Lost Pets

Your phone number and email are shared with another user only after they confirm your pet's registered identifying marks during a lost-pet event — that's the entire point of the feature. They are never shown publicly.

Your Rights & Choices

• Access/update: edit your profile and pets in the App at any time. • Delete: deleting your account in Settings removes your authentication record; you may also request deletion of associated content at support@koda-boda.com. • Location: you can revoke location permission in iOS Settings at any time. • Notifications: manage alert types in the App and notification permission in iOS Settings. California (CCPA) and EU/UK (GDPR) residents may exercise applicable rights — access, correction, deletion, portability — by contacting us.

Children

Kodaboda is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
