1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Kodaboda (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region) to use Kodaboda.

2. What Kodaboda Is — and Isn't

Kodaboda is a community platform where pet owners share safety information: hazard reports, lost and found pet alerts, and pet-related content. All reports are user-generated and unverified. Kodaboda does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any report, and is not an emergency service. Always use your own judgment, and contact local authorities or animal control for emergencies.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Provide accurate information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

4. User Content & Zero-Tolerance Policy

You retain ownership of the content you post, and grant Kodaboda a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it within the App. We have ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content or abusive behavior: content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, obscene, violent, misleading, off-topic (not about pets), or that endangers people or animals will be removed, and offending accounts may be banned without notice. Content is filtered automatically at posting time, users can report and block, and our moderators review all reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours.

5. Purchases (Kodaboda+, Kodaboda Pro, and Search Boost)

Kodaboda+ ($9.99/month) and Kodaboda Pro ($14.99/month) are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions purchased through your Apple Account, each with a 1-month free introductory trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage, switch, and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Search Boost is an optional one-time purchase (+15 miles for $2.99, +40 miles for $6.99) that expands one specific lost-pet alert's notification reach, up to a 50-mile maximum. Boosts are consumed on purchase and are non-transferable between alerts. Prices may change with notice; features included in each tier may evolve over time. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Location, Alerts & Navigation

Some features use your device's location (with your permission) to show nearby reports and send proximity alerts. Alert delivery depends on your device settings, connectivity, and platform limitations — never rely on Kodaboda alone for your pet's safety. Route planning and pet-friendly place suggestions are informational guidance only: conditions change, user-submitted places may be inaccurate, and you are responsible for driving safely and obeying all traffic laws. Do not interact with the App while driving.

7. Lost & Found, Mark Verification & Vaccination Records

The identifying-mark system helps finders and owners connect but does not guarantee identity or safe return. Exercise caution when meeting anyone; meet in public places. Kodaboda is not a party to, and bears no responsibility for, interactions between users. Vaccination records you upload are reviewed by our team solely to display a "Vaccinated" badge; verification is a good-faith review of the submitted document, not a medical or legal certification. Keep your records current and consult your veterinarian for health decisions.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KODABODA AND ITS CREATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF OR HARM TO PETS, PROPERTY, OR PERSONS ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON USER-GENERATED CONTENT.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Sections 4, 8, and 10 survive termination.
